The opportunity
We have a freelance opportunity for a digital marketeer to help us engage with our customers and develop new relationships online.
We are looking for people with a background in digital copy writing, short form video, and graphic design and are passionate about board games and video games.
The role will involve writing articles for our website, curating forum topics on our forum and on third-party forums as part of a marketing strategy. You will need to create social media content such as short form videos and graphics to bring visitors to our website. Being passionate about board games is essential and demonstrating your ability to provide positive contributions to discussions on social media and forums is essential.
The job is a freelance contract for a 12-month period. We offer an hourly rate of £10.00 per hour, with a minimum agreed time of 10 hours per month.
Experience we are looking for
- You will be an English speaker. German as a second language is an advantage.
- You will need to be passionate about creating content, contributing to online conversations and be a board game enthusiast.
- You need to be able to demonstrate that you have written copy for boardgame and/or video game fan and community serving websites, and have some experience in creating engagement for Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
- You will also have experience in contributing to sites such as Reddit and Boardgamesgeek.
- Experience with Kickstarter campaigns is an advantage.
Location and Language Considerations
You must be able to demonstrate your country of residence. We are looking for people who are fluent writers and speakers of English. Being able to speak and write German is an advantage.
We will consider freelancers who are based in the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States. Freelancers who are based in other overseas territories will also be considered, however you must be able to clearly demonstrate that you are familiar with the UK, European and American board games markets.
This is a freelance contract only. This is not a part-time or full-time employment role and does not provide employment benefits. You agree that all taxes due in your country of residence are your responsibility.
